I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Yep - I'm going to do it again! I'm going to shave my head to raise money to help St. Baldrick's fight childhood cancer. I never like getting my haircut so my family was shocked when I said that I was going to have my head shaved AGAIN! I did this last year and it was really a great experience. I had a lot of support and everyone was very generous. It felt great to be able to help out a cause that means so much to me. When I was four year old, I had an accident and hurt my head. I spent some time in ICU and had to have a small part of my hair shaved. I remember how I kept trying to cover up that spot. Even after I left the hospital and got better, that spot was still there to remind me of my accident. While I was in the ICU, there was a two-year-old girl there who had lost all of her hair because of her cancer medicine. I thought about her a lot as I waited for my hair to grow back. I wondered how she was doing. I was very lucky. All my bruises healed and all my hair grew back. But I know there are lots of kids who are not that lucky. That is why this charity means so much to me and why this St. Patrick's Day I will be a part of the St. Baldrick's event at my school. Please support me and help me reach my goal by making a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. It is easy to make your donation on line. Just click on "Make a donation" on my page. You can also pledge your support by mail, on line, or by phone. No amount is too small and every dollar is much appreciated. Be sure to check out my webpage to follow my progress and see my after photos. Your gift will give hope to kids fighting childhood cancers. THANK YOU!!!!!
