I was honored to watch my brother shave his head last year for this amazing charity! Not only was I inspired by Jason, but to my amazement there were a lot of women and young girls also shaving their heads for St. Baldrick’s! Everyone inspired me so much so that I have decided to raise money and shave my head this year for kids with cancer. I personally do not know any children that have cancer, but as a mother of 3, I am compelled to help in any way that I can. Currently I do have several friends and family members here fighting this disease every day, and I have had many angels in my life that have lost the fight. I have teamed up with my brothers, my son Caleb and my dear friend Jen Owens (who was just recently cleared of stage 4 cancer, and is now in remission!!) to have our heads shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.

Please support us with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. I read that every day on average 46 infants, kids, teens and young adults are diagnosed with cancer. 46 KIDS EVERY DAY! Can you imagine two classrooms of children being told that they have a disease and are now facing the fight of their life? Educating myself has given me more drive to raise as much as I can for this foundation, and after March 16th I pledge to continue to raise awareness and support for this amazing charity!

Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when we ask for your support, we're really asking you to support these kids. At the end of the day it is just hair, and it will grow back. But, these kids will have to fight the rest of their life, and if shaving my head helps get the world a step closer to a cure than I am honored to do so! Thank you!
