I shaved my head once - for a role in a play. This time I'm doing it for an even better cause. Please help raise money to shave childhood cancer right off the head of society.

I love that by doing this, I am reaching many people who haved faced this ugly disease. My aunt, Corky (Corinne) Larsen fought hard against lung cancer. My grandfather had it for the last ten years of his life. My dad beat Hodgkin's in 1975 when he was in his thirties and he and my mom had three young kids. He survived for thirty more years, but the radiation took a toll on his heart and arteries and eventually took him too early. My father-in-law went to pancreatic cancer. My grandmother survived ovarian cancer when she was nearly 80 years old. She lived until 95!

Grant Larson, a boy at my church, survived leukemia a couple years ago!! A brother of my daughter's friend, survived a form of bone cancer as a high schooler. So there is hope.

Now I have a chance to honor Tuesday Whitt, a child who died way too early from neuroblastoma.

And the best way to keep that hope - and survival rate - increasing is to donate to these groups that fund finding cures and treatments. It's working. Keep it up!
