When my daughter Annika was diagnosed with cancer on 2/7/09 I didn't know that she was 1 of 46 amazing children. I just knew she was amazing.
Each weekday in the US another 46 kids are diagnosed. Annika is a survivor, but each year more than 2300 children in the US die from childhood cancer. Though I was aware of childhood cancer before it affected our family, it took my daughter's fight to make me an advocate.
