In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.

I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you! Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail.

My name is Tino Luigi. I am a childhood cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with stage IV neuroblastoma when I was 5 years old. I am 16 now and celebrating being 10 years cancer free. I wasn't given much of a chance to survive. In 2001, when I was diagnosed, the doctors had just finished researching a new treatment for my cancer, and fortunately, I was able to receive this treatment. Doctors are continuing to find new and safer ways to treat childhood cancer. I know how important research is and I know that shaving my head can make a difference for another child with cancer. Please support the St. Baldrick's Foundation by making a donation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Thank you! Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail.

Tomorrow marks the 10th time that Morgan and I along with a few good friends will be shaving our heads to raise money for childhood cancer research. Our event has grown, and more importantly, has inspired others to organize events across NOLA that have continued to grow and raise money for the fight. It's one thing, as an adult, to wage your own battle against cancer as I have since 2003. However, no child should ever have to endure such an insidious disease, nor should a parent have to look into a child's eyes and tell him or her that he or she has cancer. Shaving our heads is just a small way we show solidarity with these heroes, and if it inspires you, my friend to donate to the cause, then all the better. Please join me in this fight and donate and/or come out and support the event. Be Brave, Geaux Bald!
