In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.

I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you! Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail.

As you all may know. I am the proud father of Joe-Joe who was diagnosed with Leukemia at age 2. Joe-Joe is now 13 and has had to endure 7 years of chemotherapy. By the grace of God and the support of Dr. Gowda, all the nurses at St. Mary's, family, friends and of course St. Baldrick's. When Joe-Joe was 3, St. Baldrick's requested that Joe-Joe and Dr. Gowda meet them in the conference room at St. Mary's where a wonderful group of firemen and Frances Feeney presented Dr. Gowda with a check from St. Baldrick's to fund the research and treatment of many of the kids at St. Mary's. As a father, I am forever grateful of their support of research. They were part of the team that saved my son. Joe-Joe is quickly approaching his 5th anniversary since the end of treatment. He has one more test and "when" Dr. Gowda gives us the "all clear", Joe-Joe will be cancer free.

Well, it's that time again, where after spending months letting my hair grow into a glorious flowing mane rivaling Fabian and that guy from the Hercules TV series, I have my head shaved to raise money for and stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer. As a Knight of the Bald Table, I am proud to support St. Baldrick's Foundation for what is now my 10'th year in a row. Plus, when I'm finished I'll save a boatload on shampoo.
This is for a great cause so if you can, give 'til it hurts.

I'll see you at Sláinte Irish Pub,

Bill

Best wishes to you from the Knights of the Bald Table! Once again this year I will be taking part in the St. Baldrick's Day celebration. This is the fundraiser for childhood cancer in which volunteers like myself get their heads shaved in exchange for donations from nice folks like you.
