Why "46 Mommas"? On average, 46 children are diagnosed with cancer each and every week day. That's TWO CLASSROOMS full of kids. Things have got to change. We need more funding for research, and that will only happen with greater awareness.
My daughter, Jessica, lost her battle with brain cancer on June 9, 2007; just three days after her 17th birthday. To learn more about Jessica, visit her "honored child" page here on St. Baldrick's, or visit her CaringBridge site: http://caringbridge.org/visit/jessicarandall
I am SO excited (and yes, a bit nervous!) to join with 45 other "Cancer Moms" in shaving our heads to honor all of our brave warriors and angels!!!!
