I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

Ten years ago Barb started volunteering her talent by shaving heads for Ottawa's St. Baldrick's. She believed in this cause and gave of her time and unbounding energy to help 'shave a way to conquer kids' cancer'. Her passion showed when last year, diagnosed with cancer herself and losing her hair, she chose to join the fight and shave her head!

On Thursday, January 14, 2016 after a long, well-fought battle with cancer our friend and supporter took her place in heaven. Friends and family are asked to make a donation in Barb's honor to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Her spirit and zest for life will live on in her children and grandchildren and in the St. Baldrick's memorial.

Thank you for your support! Like Barb told me many times, "It's for the kids!"
