I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research
On December 30th 2008 our son Mattias ("Tias") was diagnosed with stage 3 lymphoblastic T-Cell lymphoma. He went through a tortuous two years of chemotherapy, hospital stays and seclusion due to infection risks. Something no child should have to endure. As parents we realized that research was the most important thing in the world and St. Baldricks was the right organization for our efforts.
December 31st, 2010 marked Mattias', last day of chemo. All scans and tests showed NO SIGNS of disease! He will be monitored for the rest of his life for recurrence.
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least seven years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
