In April of last year, my world... our world... completely turned upside down. I have always seen the strength in the kids who fight cancer so bravely and still manage to smile, but I never thought my little man would be the one facing that same fight. I never thought it would be my son's beautiful hair falling out in my hands until he was left, first with sparse fuzz, and then nothing at all. I also never thought I would see so much beauty in something as trivial as hair-loss, but it reminds me all the time that my son is powerful and amazing, and most of all, beautiful.
I'm having my head shaved and my hair donated to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. I am also pledging to walk/run a mile for each dollar donated through my page or the team's page! This cause is something close to my heart, as my son is currently fighting his own battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He is our Honored Kid, check his page out to see how he is doing! If you would like to join our team, Brayden's Baldies, please let me know!
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Every dollar helps, so even if you can only throw in the cost of your morning coffee, it is so appreciated!! And please share my link so that I can reach my goal before March. :)
This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
