In 2008, Megan's team, with her pitching, won the Talbot County Little League Softball Championship. The team they beat was not only undefeated for the season, but they had not lost a championship game for as long as the community could remember. Megan's other love was also her greatest sorrow (when she was told she was going to die from cancer) her nephews. Megan was heart broke knowing she would never reach her goal of being able to teach the boys how to play baseball.
Megan had a very kind and caring personality. Many of her friends describe her as their "best friend." They have told stories of her listening to their problems, always knowing the right thing to say or being the one they could call to make them laugh. Megan will always being known for the girl who brought the community together on September 6, 2009 (Megan McNeal Day) in Easton, Maryland. Our family was blessed to have the community come out and participate in a benefit to cover medical expenses. Three days prior to Megan earning her "Angel Wings" she gave a check to a family in need, from money raised at her benefit day.
Megan will always be loved and missed!
