My Story

Tommy is the Octopus on the Team, emblematic of his most beloved creature. Tommy was a curious, creative, and caring person, with a wise, old soul. He endured a most rigorous battle with grace, dignity and courage, all the while maintaining a child's innocence, a concern for others, and a passionate spirit. Though far too brief, his was a life well lived. Tommy was a beautiful baby, a wonderful brother, and a fine young boy. Our pride in our son is exceeded only by our grief as we mourn his death. Here he is, in his own words: I AM 2 by Thomas Alan Gosser I am fun & funny. I wonder what heaven is like. I hear angels singing. I see the heart of saints. I want world peace. I pretend my pillows & my blanky & my squishy can talk. I feel loving. I touch the clouds in the sky. I worry about my cancer. I cry when I have nightmares. I am fun & funny. I understand how fish breathe. I say the Lord. I dream to become an underwater biologist. I try to do my best. I hope I will live long. I am fun & funny. * * * He should have lived long. Our hearts are broken. Please read Tommy's story at www.caringbridge.org/visit/tommygosser
