My Story

Rachel is 7 years old and was diagnosed on 8/28/06. Her Treatment lasted 3 years. She is out going and loves her big brother very much and thanks to her strength and determination the chemo that she endured, the spinal taps, and bone marrow testing never onced slowed her down and we thank God that she is one of the lucky ones and it's here with us today. It hasn't been easy for any of us but considering all the sad stories about childhood cancer we can't help but be grateful that she is a survivor and she is determine to help the cause, she was just nominated for the "2010 Leukemia Lymphoma Hero Of the Year" campaign and she is very proud to be part of any and all organizations who use her story in order to make a difference. What each of you here is doing to find a cure is truly humbling because no child should have to go through this battle. We thank you and everyone who has raised money before you, from the bottom of our hearts for taking this role on. You are all an inspiration of hope. Rachel just celebrated her 1 year anniversary of being cancer free. She is truly a fighter and has amazing strength. She continues with clinic and is still struggling with the many side effects that the treatment brings but we are blessed to have her with us today. We don’t know what the future holds for her but we will certainly remind her of where she’s been. Rachel enjoys cheerleading, gymnastics and absolutely adores riding horses is not something she does as often as she would like but it’s something that she enjoys very much she will also be playing softball this year something that the doctors never allowed her to do because of the port. We don't know if she will like it but we encourage any and all things she would like to try out. Our wish for her is to dream big and to give back to help the many children who are faced with this every day. Those who have come in contact with Rachel just fall in love with her. She is always smiling, and laughing, and bringing joy to others. We welcome you to visit her web site and follow her progress, She is truly an inspiration!. www.ourlittleprincess2002.com
