My Story
Mary was diagnosed on August 1st of 2013 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia during a routine doctor's visit. Our pediatrician Dr. Hartenbach noticed that Mary Rose was very pale and had bruises. After running some blood work it was determined that our sweet, healthy 3 year old was not so healthy after all.
We were sent the ER at Children's Hospital in Saint Louis and began what we anticipated to be a 30 day stay. Thanks to the excellent care and thoughts and prays of friends and family, we were sent home in an unheard of 8 days.
We hope that through research, a cure can be found so that other families don't have to watch their children suffer.
