My Story

Mary was diagnosed on August 1st of 2013 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia during a routine doctor's visit. Our pediatrician Dr. Hartenbach noticed that Mary Rose was very pale and had bruises. After running some blood work it was determined that our sweet, healthy 3 year old was not so healthy after all. We were sent the ER at Children's Hospital in Saint Louis and began what we anticipated to be a 30 day stay. Thanks to the excellent care and thoughts and prays of friends and family, we were sent home in an unheard of 8 days. We hope that through research, a cure can be found so that other families don't have to watch their children suffer. Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
