My Story

Sebastian is a 14 year old boy who loves to play soccer, snowboard and play with his dogs, Troy and Leo. During the summer of 2011 when Sebastian was 12 yrs old, he started complaining of night sweats, itchiness throughout his body and a general feeling of tiredness. He then started losing a lot of weight in a short amount of time. He was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma stage IV with lung involvement in October, 2012. After seven months of chemotherapy and radiation he was in remission. His last scans show no evidence of disease and we have faith he will have a complete cure but like most survivors he has sustained damage due to the chemotherapy drugs and radiation. He has permanent scarring in his lungs and is in danger of more side effects later in life. Sebastian does not let anything stop him from enjoying life! His sense of humor, strength and gentle soul is an inspiration to all those who know him. Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give Sebastian and all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure and a better quality life as a survivor.
