My Story

Keira is a very loving child that would do anything to help anyone out. I call her a little momma because she is always so caring and motherly. She is shy until she gets to know you and then watch out because you are her buddy forever. Keira was diagnosed with precocious puberty in November 2010 and was recommended to have a MRI which was done on December 23, 2010. After Christmas we received a call that they found a tumor on her pineal gland in the deep middle of her brain. I felt as if I would never catch my breath. Then all the tests started. On January 10, 2011 Keira had the tumor removed by Dr. Norman Litofsky. They got it all! We feel so fortunate that she did not have to receive further treatment. She will be followed every year for a while to make sure it doesn't return.
