Karolyn is a sweet 7 year old who loves to dance, listen to music, play with her Littlest Pet Shops, do arts and crafts and play with her brother and friends. She was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of 5. The first year of treatment was brutal and she struggled with a lot of side effects. She's now been in the maintenance phase of treatment for seven months, which means she goes into the clinic for chemo every month and takes nightly chemo pills at home.
This journey has not been easy, but Karolyn has shown an amazing amount of strength and determination to deal with everything that has been thrown at her. We are very thankful for the amazing doctors and nurses who take care of our girl and for the support of family, friends and even strangers. Thank you so much for helping raise money for cancer research. Karolyn is excited to see the day when no child has to worry about getting cancer.
