My Story

Tyler's Caringbridge site is: www.caringbridge.org/visit/tylerburdick Tyler was diagnosed in June 2009 and was supposed to be done with treatment in June 2011. He relapsed in April 2011 and had a stem cell transplant in Sept from his baby brother's cord blood. He was 100% match! He didn't survive the transplant, he got an infection, liver failure, kidney failure, respiratory failure, leaky veins and low blood pressure, that eventually lead to brain damage. He died in my arms Nov 2, 2011. Tyler was a very happy, enthusiastic little boy. He found joy everywhere he went. He loved cars, trains and anything with wheels. He liked to watch Cars, Blues Clues and Thomas the Train. He liked puzzles and stacking things also. He loved being outside, either at the playground or watching cars go by on the road. His joy and laughter is deeply missed.
