My Story

Our beautiful, healthy little girl, Lillian, was born on October 16, 2004. She had an easy going personality and loved to ham it up in front of the camera. She loved wagon rides around the neighborhood. She actually knew our routes and would cry "no, no, no" if we tried to turn around early. She also loved playing at Gymboree and tea parties and going to the zoo. And she loved story time at the library. Just like story time, she would read stories to her bear at home. I’m sure it’s obvious by now that Lillian was our pride and joy. A week before her 2nd birthday, Lillian was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor called medulloblastoma. The tumor was resected immediately and she then celebrated her 2nd birthday from a wheelchair in the hospital cafeteria. On Halloween, she began the 1st of 6 rounds of aggressive chemotherapy. She was a doctor for Halloween that year, it was the only costume that seemed appropriate. After completing all 6 rounds of chemo, she began having difficulty breathing. She spent 31 days in the PICU on a ventilator, before Lillian joined Jesus in heaven where she is happy and healthy once again.
