My Story

Hi, my name is Stella White and I am an 8 year old who is loving life and fighting courageously this thing called Retinoblastoma. I was diagnosed at the beginning of September, 2010. Typically kids who have this particular kind of cancer are born with it and it is discovered by the age of five. After a routine eye exam and an important retinal scan, we learned that a mass was growing on the Retina in my left eye. Once the doctors found the tumor, surgery was immediately scheduled to remove my eye and the tumor. I now have a really cool prosthetic eye that I can freak my friends out with! I began my 6 month chemo treatment plan in September of 2010 and just finished it up in February. My prognosis is fabulous. Thankfully, this kind of cancer has a unbelievable cure rate! Thanks for stopping by and for thinking and praying for me and my family and friends. And just in case you were wondering, some of my favorite things are: Roller skating, Justin Bieber, peace signs, leotards, gymnastics, singing, the color Lime Green, clothes, hats, headbands, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Cake Boss and spending time with my friends and family.
