My Story

PJ was an active busy senior in high school in '09 and ready to start his final quarter of school when he was diagnosed. He had already been accepted into college in CT and was looking forward to tennis season and then spending the summer teaching sailing as he had done the previous three summers. In two short days that all changed as he faced emergency back surgery and a diagnosis of Ewings Sarcoma. A year battling the disease he is now NED but has suffered some paralysis, nerve damage, bladder and bowel damage. The bright side is he is attending community college, again teaching sailing and rides horses weekly. Cancer took it's toll but not his bright sunny spirit!
