My Story

Jenna was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in October of 2010. We are so thankful that her cancer was caught early; she only had 1-2% blasts (leukemia cells) in her blood. She spent a week in the hospital after the diagnosis, and after 28 days Jenna was in remission. She went through 2.5 years of treatment, and finished February 24, 2013. Jenna is in 4th grade and math is her favorite subject. She is quiet and hardworking at school, but can get quite crazy at home. She loves soccer. She also likes to read, paint, cook and make crafts. We are so grateful for wonderful doctors and nurses at UNC! We want to help raise awareness for childhood cancer.
