My Story

Juliana "JJ" LaMonica was diagnosed in November of 2009 with AML- leukemia. She recieved treatment from both Strong Hospital in Rochester NY as well as at Boston Children's. She was very out spoken and loved her brothers very much. Her older brother Andrew would play the part as the prince and she the princess and they would dance together. She loved her princesses and almost everyone that came in our room had to make the figurines talk. She loved her PJ's and princess dresses , castles and Disney movies. People were captivated by her sweet voice. She stood out in any crowd. After an 8 month battle my beautiful and brave daughter passed away.she is and always will be my beautiful princess and will cherish my memories of our time as roommates during her treatment, where I was able to witness her awesome spirit and unique ,magnetic personality as it started to blossom. She has and continues to change many people's thoughts and actions in a positive way. I choose to live now inspired by the joyful memories of JJ , remember her strength and bravery until we meet again.
