My Story

Our beautiful son, Issy, was first diagnosed with brain cancer when he was 12 months old in 2008. After nine months of in-hospital treatment, we returned home to 'normal' life. We were shocked when, twenty-seven months later, we learned he had a recurrent tumor in his lower spine. Issy recently completed his year-long treatment. Everything there is to know about Issy and his ordeal has been updated on his caringbridge site. www.caringbridge.org/visit/israelavila.
