In 2004, two yr old Brent was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma. The next 15 months were a blur for his family, as Brent spent most days at either Dr. Joe's office, Yale NH Hospital or Dana Farber/Boston Children's Hospital. He was immunosuppressed so germs were the enemy. Brent had six rounds of chemo, two stem cell transplants and three weeks of radiation
Today Brent is totally cancer free and spends his days at school or playing chess and sports. He couldn't have made it through treatment without his family, friends and amazing community. TeamBrent was formed to harness the amazing energy and spirit of everyone who wanted to help Brent & fight the disease. Today we fight so that all kids can be as lucky as Brent!
Over the past nine years TeamBrent has raised over three million dollars to fight childhood cancer through its participation in St Baldrick's (and another three million through the PMC). For more information, go to www.TeamBrent.com
And....this will be Brent's 3rd year shaving his own head. As he says, "I want all kids to get better like me, so they can play sports."
