At 6 months of age, in April 2003, Brice was diagnosed with Stage IV neuroblastoma, n-myc amplified. From there on in his precious little life, he endured countless tests, pokes, prods, and needles...not to mention the tumor resection, rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, a stem-cell transplant, and 3F8 monoclonal antibody treatment......WAY more than anyone should endure in their lifetime, let alone by the time they are 1 1/2 years old. Throughout it all, he could light up a room with his beaming smiles. And boy did he have a way with the ladies....the little flirt.

In December of '03, we were overjoyed to learn he reached "NED" status (No Evidence of Disease.....aka Remission) But just 5 short months later, we learned that the BEAST we knew/know as cancer had come raging back. When it did, we were told Brice only had months left to live. As it turned out, we only had 3 more weeks with our precious 'lil boy. We awoke the morning of Memorial Day '04 to find that Brice had passed away in his sleep. He was just 20 months old.

Although it has been over 5 years since Brice's passing, we miss him so. I can look at pics and videos of him ok now these days without it being torture, but his mommy still can't bear to look at them too often. He was and will forever be my HERO. It is in his memory and honor that we strive to do whatever we can to help raise money for Children's Cancer research so a cure can ultimately be found so that no more innocent children and their families have to endure what Brice (and we) did.
