My Story

Ishani was diagnosed at age 3 with Rhabdomyosarcoma. She had surgery, chemotherapy and radiation and ended treatment in April 2007. She enjoyed the next 18 months, going to school, swimming and playing soccer. Sadly in January 2009 at age 6, she relapsed and was back on treatment. She completed treatment in December 2009. She has been in remission for 2 years and gets 4 monthly scans. From the beginning of our journey, Ishani has always been a fighter, never wanting to be different , always wanting to keep up with others, and living every day to the fullest. Just getting to go to school, something that all kids take for granted was her biggest treat. . She is a determined young girl who is loved by her teachers , friends and family. Despite all that she has been through she has not lost her smile. We admire your strength and courage and we love you very much.
