My Story

Lily was a sweet child with a smile that quickly encouraged the rest of her face to join in. She loved jokes, candy, riding her tricycle, her sister Anna, movies, The Penguins of Madagascar, country music, special kisses from her daddy and Hello Kitty. She amazed us with her focus and ferocity and humbled us with her patience and bravery. Diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma in February, she had endured 6 rounds of chemotherapy, stem cell apheresis, port and apheresis catheter placement, a nephrostomy tube and bag, monthly tube changes, kidney stents, abdominal surgery, countless finger pricks, daily shots, pills and medications, a nasal gastric feeding tube, x-rays, CT's, MIBG's, blood transfusions, platelets, and weeks spent in the hospital away from her own bed and sister. As a family, we have been overwhelmed by the love and support given to us by our community! Helpful hands and prayerful hearts and voices had fought with us!
