My Story

My beautiful red haired superman was competing in the Idaho state football championships one week. The next week our world was turned upside down as he was diagnosed with a diffused Pontine Glioma Grade IIII. The doctors indicated that with aggressive Radiation Therapy and aggressive Chemotherapy his life expectancy would be around 12 months at best with most of those months with a quality of life that was below the acceptable standard. We are presently at 16 months (8 post radiation/chemo therapy) and he still tries to wake each day with a smile. His quality of life is poor but manageable with the right narcotics for the deep pain he experiences due to the tumor growth and pressure on his nerves in his brain stem. Adam has an infectious smile and i stand today as a true testament to the lessons we learn from our children. Even though his body has digressed i still have vivid memories of his lean muscular body running up and down the basketball court or diving over the top of the line for another touchdown! I am forever in awe of his strength, courage and determination not to give up. We pray each day at 11 am MST. Please feel free to join us in thanking our lord for the very short period of time we were blessed with Adam in our lives.
