My Story

EMILIO WAS A VERY OUTGOING LITTLE BOY HE LOVED SPORTS AND PLAYING VIDEO GAMES. ANYONE THAT CAME IN CONTACT WITH HIM HE PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE. HE WAS A VERY SMART KID IF YOU NEEDED HELP WITH ELECTRONICS HE WOULD BE ABLE TO DO IT FOR YOU. HE LOVED TAKING CARE OF HIS BROTHER AND SISTER. HE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH ALL LEUKEMIA IN JULY OF 06' AND IT WAS VERY HARD TO GET THAT NEWS BUT HE WAS VERY STRONG AND DID ALL CHEMO EVEN IF IT WAS A MILLION SHOTS IN THE LEGS. HE ALWAYS SAID I'M GOING TO BEAT THIS HE RELAPSED JUST BEFORE MAINTENANCE AND IT WAS A HARD HIT TO HIM BUT HE SAID IT'S OK MOMMY I CAN DO THIS WITH SOME TEARS. DID MORE CHEMO WENT ON HIS MAKE A WISH TRIP AND WHEN WE GOT BACK DID TESTING TO GET READY FOR TRANSPLANT ONLY TO GET THE NEWS OF YET AGAIN HE RELAPSED AGAIN. THE NEWS WAS HARD AGAIN FOR HIM BUT HE SAID WITHOUT TEARS THIS TIME IT'S OK MOM I'VE BEAT THIS TWICE I CAN DO IT AGAIN. YET AGAIN HE DID, AND READY FOR BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT OCT, 2007 14 MONTHS AFTER ORIGINAL DIAGNOSES. EVERYTHING GOING OK WHEN ABOUT 5 MONTHS AFTER TRANSPLANT HE GOT PCP A TYPE OF PNEUMONIA THAT'S VERY HARD TO CURE. HE LASTED ABOUT 23 DAYS AND HIS LUNGS STARTED LEAKING AIR FROM BEING ON VENTILATER HE PASSSED AWAY ON MAR 23, 2008. WE MISS AND LOVE HIM EVERY DAY.
