My Story

Below is our original message from 2009. Today (2013) Michael is almost 4 years cancer free. Sweet! We're both getting shaved this year. My name is Michael and I was diagnosed with a Wilms Tumor on 1/13/09. My stomach hurt one day so I went to my doctor and they found a big tumor on my kidney. I had to have my kidney removed on 1/15/09. I have undergone chemotherapy for 19 weeks at the Childrens Hospital. It was really tough, I lost all of my hair and felt real bad. As of 6/09 there has been no evidence of cancer in my little body. Everybody says how proud they are of me for having to go through such a hard time. Please help fight childhood cancer by donating to my dad since he is going to shave his head on 3/12. Please visit my website also: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/michaelmider
