Robert has always been an outgoing person. When he was first diagnosed he went from being the typical kid to being an adult in a child's body. At first Robert wanted to be a fire fighter, but soon changed his mind and now wants to be a Head and Neck Surgeon. This way he could help his patients whether child or adult.
He loves to play basketball, football and loves karate. He likes playing on his PSP, xbox, and xbox 360 most of which are done when he has had his treatment. He hates going through the treatments cause of the diet and the fact that he isn't allowed to be around anyone at that time.
Just after getting diagnosed Robert got to meet Mark Mulder of the St Louis Cardinals. Robert's uncle bought him the ticket so that he could go to this event. After finding his cancer this was the first time he had smiled...he still says that it was one of the best days of his life.
March 2009 made our 3rd year. We are currently still fighting the cancer. We knew from the beginning it would be a long road. Robert is still going strong and in fact enrolled in Karate class this year. There are several people who deem him their hero!! He tells people he is not a hero....that is reserved for the men and women in the military who fight for our country and to keep us free!!! He is just a child who has to fight a horrible disease and is making the best of this. Not once has he let this get him down and he will be the first to tell you he is determined to beat cancer!!!
