My Story

Ariel Rose was a slip of a little girl with sparkling blue eyes and the most wicked and contagious laugh ever heard on a child her age. Ariel began her fight against a rare muscle cancer (rhabdomyosarcoma) in 2007. She endured a year of brutal treatments with a courage, a strength, with a joie de vivre simply amazing and humbling to watch. In 2008 she emerged disease free and we spent the next 3 yrs trying to keep up with her and her passions - Harry Potter, Dr Who, SF Giants, comics & video games, her friends and family, and of course her beloved puppy Squishy. Life was simply wonderful...which made it all the harder to learn on Feb 14, 2011, that her cancer had once again returned. Ariel geared up for the biggest fight of her young life and wherever this journey led us, you can bet it was always on Ariel's terms - laughing, sassing and loving life all the way. She will be remembered for her infectious laughter, love of jokes, her generosity, compassion especially for the less fortunate, her kindness and her indomitable spirit and love.
