Alexis is a fun loving 3 1/2 year old little girl. She loves to play with her brother and her two sisters. She also loves arts and crafts, hop scotch, watching noggin, playing at the park, and just generally being outside! Her favorite food is noo-noo's (noodles), and she LOVES soda!
Alexis was only 11 months old when she was diagnosed with AML, 22 days later we had her 1st birthday party in the playroom at the hospital. She went through 6 months of chemotherapy only to be in remission for 10 short months. We found out on October 11, 2007 that she had relapsed.
The only option we had was transplant. After a 3 month search, we found a unrelated donor, overseas. She received her transplant on February 7, 2008, and continues to improve everyday!
