My Story

Jonathan is a happy, funny, energetic kid who loves school swimming and Hotwheels. Not to mention his new Kitten Whiskers who came home with us right after he had surgery when his shunt was put in. He love to make crazy faces and he loves to laugh and make us laugh. He dislikes going to bed and brussle sprouts but is a fiend for health food. Given the choice of carrots cucumber slices and broccoli, or frenchfries potato chips and candy.... he will chose the veggies 100% of the time. he is very polite and a real charmer with the nurses. He was scared about getting an IV put in but as soon as it was done... it became a special spiderman web shooter for getting the bad guys... came up with that on his own... He can adapt to anything it would seem! Jonathan continues to do well as we near the halfway mark in his radiation treatment. Infact we had a great day last Sunday skiing at the local hill. Jonathan and his dad went up the six man chairlift three times! He has a great time skiing and put up a bit of a fight when it was suggested that we should skip skiing lessons because of the bad weather. We wound up going anyways and we had a hoot. He gets tired very quickly though, but that works out well because so does his dad! (Not quite in the same physical shape as when he was back in the ski racing days...lol) Well it has been some time since this was created... and we have lost our battle. March 16th 2009 was the final day and it was a long hard journey. He was coherent and comunicative right up to the final day and while we wanted so much to celebrate his 7th birthday it was not to be. We miss him always. Love you Bubba....
