The Village of Romeo will be hosting a St. Baldrick's event on March 13, 2010!

This March 13, Romeo is the place to be to make a real difference in a childs life. St. Baldricks is coming to town, with The Romeo's Lions Club as the main staging area and all of Romeo taking part. There will be games and activities for the kids, bands for the adults, and lots of fun for everyone. So be sure to invite your friends and family and get ready for a great time for a great cause.


We could also use more volunteers for the day of the event. From overseeing kids events to sweeping up the clippings, there is always plenty to do on event day, and we could use your help. Signing up is easy, and takes just a few minutes of your time.

The 2010 Romeo, MI event will be held for our friends, Anne and Loris Costa, of Washington Township, in honor of their nine-year-old son Noah, who recently through successful treatment for a re-occurrence of neuroblastoma. We also do this in honor of Jameson and Emily MacBeth, who lost their 2-year-old daughter to cancer in 2002.

About St. Baldricks.
St. Baldricks is an international charity aimed at raising money to fund childhood cancer research. These funds are raised through the sponsorship of individuals (shavees) who stand in solidarity with children fighting cancer by voluntarily having their heads shaved. Since its inception in 2000, St. Baldrick's has raised more than $50 million and grown into the world's largest fund raising event for childhood cancer.

I know times are tough, but childhood cancer does not take a break in a bad economy. Even a small donation would be appreciated.

We have a slew of great raffle items this year, from Golf, Pistons Suite package, Tigers tickets, Mongoose kids bike, tons of gift cards, weekend scrapbook package, and LOTS more.
