THANK YOU KANSAS CITY! The 1st annual St. Baldrick's of KC event was a smashing success. We exceeded our goal for shavess by shaving 26 heads and are very close to hitting our $10,000 fundraising goal. More importantly a great time was had by all who had fake tattoos, checked out the police cruiser, fired the fire hose, enjoyed the music of Mitch Wayne, enjoyed the food, and most importantly the head-shaving. Special thanks to Traci Wilde for a fabulous job emcee'ing the event, Michal Fasone for promoting the event, Tommy Caprefoli along with Unwritten Rulz who brought Mitch Wayne in to entertain, Beautiful Body for the artwork, and Trezo Mare for being such an incredible host. Our volunteers and volunteer stylists did a remarkable job keeping everything so well-organized despite the 30mph wind gusts that tried to blow everything away. Our shavees made it all happen by volunteering their noggins and bringing in the money that will be used to help conquer childhood cancer. We look forward to working with everyone again for next year's event.
