On March 16, 2012, North Dakota will hold the 5th annual St. Baldrick's event at the Missouri Valley Family YMCA. Since the first event held in 2008, more than $500,000 has been raised for St. Baldrick's Foundation. Money raised for the foundation goes to fund cancer research and fellowships to hopefully one day find a cure.
Cancer is the number one disease killer of children in the United States and Canada, and every year 160,000 children are diagnosed with cancer worldwide.
