We did it! We had a total of 30 people shave their head in the name of pediatric cancer research! Thank you so much to everyone involved! More photos will be up soon!
Have you ever considered saving someone's life by shaving your head?
Now you can! Every year, thousands of brave men, women, and children have joined the St. Baldrick's Foundation by giving their locks to support childhood cancer research. We'd like to invite you to make a "bald" statement at the McGaw YMCA Children's Center on March 15, 2012. You can raise funds and help fight the number one disease killer of children in the U.S. and Canada. Not into shaving your head? Please consider volunteering, donating, or helping us spread the word!
Think about this staggering fact: one out of every five children diagnosed with cancer will not survive--that's one child too many. Join us in our efforts to find a cure so no child has to endure this dreadful disease.
If you are interested in joining as a shavee or volunteering, please click on the "participate in this event" button on the left. Also, feel free to message event organizers (and Children's Center parents!) Kristin O'Connor and Kelly Siddiqui with any questions.
If you choose to support a participant at our event, your name will appear on their donor list. To support our event in general and appear on our event donor list, please click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail.
Together, let's Conquer Kids' Cancer!
Thanks so much for your support!
