Have you scheduled your haircut yet? St. Baldrick’s & Locks of Love Event at St. John’s Join us, as a St. John’s University community we join in the fight against childhood cancer. It truly is an amazing event! Participants are asked to raise money for childhood cancer research as 100% of the proceeds go directly to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Then as part of the effort, participants who raise funds shave their heads in solidarity with the children who suffer from cancer. Also featured is a wonderful opportunity to participate in Locks of Love, a non-for-profit organization, that donates “locks” (hair 10 inches or longer) to be used to make wigs for children suffering from hair-loss diseases.
