Our church is sponsoring a Children's Cancer Support Day. We recently began to pray that God would reduce the incidence of cancer in our community. We are declaring Bristol a "cancer free zone." Besides prayer, we want to support those doing medical research to find cures. We have several people who have licked cancer in the last year. This hit home when Senior Pastor Howard Renker's granddaughter Anneliese, age 4, was recently diagnosed with a sarcoma and is currently undergoing chemo and radiation treatment at Yaler New Haven Hospital. She has lost all her hair. She can support her in love by shaving your head too. Plus, you get to raise money to help other children both now and in the future. Be a hero for kids with cancer! Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
