The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. That is why I am choosing to hold this event in order to find a cure for cancer. I am cutting my hair to only one inch & participant Michael is shaving his head. Together, we will stand in solidarity with children that lose their hair from treatment. This event is very close to my heart because of an 18 year old angel named Tara. She was amazing in every way. I am choosing to do this when I graduate and go on to college because Tara didn't get the opportunity to go to St. Edwards University where she was accepted with scholarship. I'm going to college with close to no hair so that those with childhood cancer have the research and the treatment so that they will be able to overcome their cancer and maybe even go to college. Please help our team to reach our goal and potentially "shave" a life. :)
