Worldwide, every three minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer. Currently, 10,000 Canadian children have cancer. 1,500 new cases are diagnosed each year. 1 in 5 Canadian children with cancer do not live into adulthood. Children with cancer have hardly had the chance to experience life before it is changed forever or even taken away from them. Each of these children have a story, but unfortunately they may not have a voice. As adults, we have a voice. Adults have used their voices to ensure over 90% of cancer research funding goes toward adult cancers. But children are suffering too. We can do something to change these startling facts by supporting organizations dedicated to supporting childhood cancer research. We can give these children a voice. To raise money to help children with cancer, the McMaster baseball team are shaving their heads. Being bald is symbolic of having cancer because children with cancer typically lose their hair during chemotherapy. The McMaster baseball team is willing to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer.

Together we WILL make a difference in these children's lives. Please choose a participant to support, or donate to our event as a whole by clicking "Make a Donation" above. Thank you for supporting McMaster BaseBald, the first ever Canadian BaseBald event! Please read McMaster baseball player Kyle's survival story.
