Over the past two years, we have included St. Baldrick’s in industry events and holiday parties, walked the Rose Bowl, and helped launch the Foundation’s “Flip Flop Friday” campaign (where for a donation employees can wear jeans, or even bare their toes, to benefit kids with cancer)!
In 2011, at our Annual Producer Conference, we raised more than $250,000 in a ‘vote with your dollars’ campaign, which was supposed to culminate with a single shavee who had gathered the most donations, but at the end of the night all the contestants were inspired, and we shaved seven heads!
In 2012, we brought together eight senior insurance executives from seven companies in three countries to form ‘Expired Coverage’ –shaving as one team to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer research. Together, we raised more than $890,000, and became the top fundraising event in the history of the Foundation.
