When a person turns 21, it's a reason to celebrate and a sign of being a "grown up!"
St. Baldrick's Foundation volunteers and donors can celebrate today - no matter their age - that the total they've raised is now $21 million in 2010 alone! It's been a record-breaking year in grants, too, with over $12.8 million in new research funded already, and fall grants coming soon.
St. Baldrick's is also grown up these days, after five years of being an independent organization and ten years since our first head-shaving event.
And another sign of maturity: It's not just about head-shaving anymore! People are raising money in all kinds of ways, and choosing to donate it to the Foundation because they know it will support the best in childhood cancer research.
