$1 Million Raised for Childhood Cancer Research

January 13, 2012 $1 Million Raised for Childhood Cancer Research

A little competition is good, but a team effort is GREAT! And the St. Baldrick’s team, Expired Coverage, has got the bald heads to back it up. They showed what a little teamwork can do when they shaved their heads last night. Their group has raised more than $600,000 online (although we understand there are still some donations rolling in!) and when combined with the efforts of other St. Baldrick’s shavees around the world, $1 million has been raised for life-saving childhood cancer research in 2012!

What’s the key to Expired Coverage’s success? A collaborative effort!

In an effort to put their best head forward, the AmWINS Group, who hosted the event at their Annual Producers Conference, combed the world looking for the best looking heads the insurance industry has to offer. Eight insurance big wigs stood out like a cowlick. So they brought them together to form ‘Expired Coverage’ – a team that represents seven companies in three countries, shaving as one team for one mission, to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer research.

This is just the beginning. With your help we know we can surpass last year’s record of $28.2 million! Together, let’s conquer kids’ cancer.
