$9 Million!

Nine is fine! St. Baldrick's is proud to say that more than $9 million has been raised for childhood cancer research in 2010, with the most recent million being raised in a mere two days!  Last year we had raised $9 million by March 21st, which means that we are almost ten days ahead.  In addition to having raised over $9 million, St. Baldrick's currently has more events registered than any year in our 10 year history.  There are presently over 26,000 shavees--including 2,600 women-- who will be shaving at one of the 631 events around the world. 

One of those shavees will be 2010 Child Ambassador Ty who, along with his mom Kim, brother Joshua, and dad Darrin, will be shaving his head at the Knitting Factory Concert House in Boise, ID tomorrow! Ty had pledged to raise $500 but has already surpassed his goal by 42%.  Although Ty lost his hair while undergoing treatment last year, it grew back surprisingly quick and he is extremely excited to be shaving it all off for St. Baldrick's!
