$5 Million

A big HIGH-FIVE (multiplied by a MILLION) to all the terrific St. Baldrick's supporters who have helped raise $5 million so far for pediatric cancer research. One million dollars was raised in just the past four days alone!  Additionally, we have raised $5 million earlier than any year before!  We currently have more than 18,500 shavees registered at 589 events around the world!

The picture for $5 million depicts five of 2010 Ambassador Child Averi's favorite books.  The five novels: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Trickster's Choice, Twilight, Firestar's Quest, and The Golden Compass were just a few of the many books that Averi enjoyed reading.  In memory of Averi, who passed away on March 12, 2009, her father, Eddie, and uncles will be shaving at the Waterside Festival Marketplace in Norfolk, VA on March 13.  As we celebrate $5 million raised, please remember Averi and the other children around the world who have lost their battles with cancer.
